1 + 1 doesn't always equal to love forever after$BlogItemTitle$> @ Tuesday, May 18, 2010
how many couples do i know have broken up because of long distance? one, two, three, four, five. and, how many successful couples do i know of? one.
i guess distance can be a scary thing. people who i've personally thought will be together forever and after are... splitting up, going their own ways. and for someone like me, who will be entering that long distance phase in a matter of less than a year, LD relationships can be pretty intimidating. perhaps it's wrong to forcefully conclude that your current partner will be the one for you forever; but which person in love can resist such thoughts? how can you simply leave things to fate, destiny, or what so ever?
they say communication is key, but it's not like as though the people i knew did not communicate much. if frequency is not the key, then what can it be? it seems like two people in love today doesn't always equate to two people in love forever.
honestly, i'm afraid. i'm afraid of what the future may be. shall be. will be. the only slight comfort i have is the fact that God has always led me to the best places, so in His hands my fate shall rest.

*yay!* my first and new pair of dolly wink eyelashes no.3! and... while they fit perfectly, the lashes seem... unnaturally long for me. i don't know if i should clip them, or... well, we'll see! time to practice!

which'd you rather be-$BlogItemTitle$> @
which would you rather be -
a) someone with great ideas but does not know how to express/communicate them to others?
-or-
b) someone with not-as-great ideas, but knows how to fluff and market that to others?

so, the other day i asked two of my colleagues this question. "if you're given adequate capital to start your own business, and it has to be successful, what would you do?"
the one with only a bachelor's degree said, "gee, i don't know."
the MBA guy said, "oh, well, considering the economy right now, i'd just put that money and invest on stocks or something and wait for the economy to stabilize. and meantime, i'll come up with something." in other words, "gee, i don't know. but i'll act smart and spit some cool terms out like 'invest' and 'economy'."

the dark side-$BlogItemTitle$> @ Wednesday, May 5, 2010
half a year ago, i would never dream about buying a blackberry. yes, i'm an iPhone fan, and always will be. i even call blackberry users "people on the dark(black) side", and (almost) swears i'd never be one of them.
but... all of my friends are using blackberries, and being one of the only few using an iPhone, i feel... completely left out from all the gossip and stuff. also, my iPhone'd not be as feasible in indo because google maps, fandango, yelp and all the other useful features my iPhone has do not work there. not to mention indo's 3G network isn't the best in the world (the best one is of course, here in the US), so i'm sure i won't be using the safari browser as much as i do now.
so all of a sudden... the BLACKBERRY, with all the gossip-filled black berry messaging groups, becomes better than the iPhone.
to make things harder to resist, t-mobile is giving away the new blackberry 9700 for ONLY $65/phone if i sign up a contract which i heard i can break if i show them a one-way ticket back to indonesia.
perhaps... it's about time to turn to the blackberry side.

i ♥ bluefly!$BlogItemTitle$> @ Monday, May 3, 2010
two weeks ago, i received my tax refund (which ended up being more than i expected), and last week i received my bonus paycheck from last quarter's performance! all that equal to a little bit extra shopping money, which led me to a shopping spree that went a little out of control.
so as i promised, i'm gonna update on my shopping hauls! apparently, bluefly.com has become one of my best shopping havens, because there are just so many good deals after another that if i open their website regularly, i'm almost 100% certain they'll run me bankrupt.

PRADA's new heritage sunglasses! while this is a new model, apparently i bought it at a 35% discount thanks to bluefly ♥♥ such a good deal, love online shopping!

DREAM COME TRUE!!! my very first pair of loubsss courtesy to bluefly! this rolando pumps were discounted for more than $200 and tied together with a free shipping offer. and i'm so sure it's a GREAT investment. one, it's classic black, which usually does not get discounted at all. two, it was the last pair and it came in my size! and there's always mcdonald's dollar menus and instant noodles to make up for the loss in my pocket money anyway.

urban outfitters' floral dress. it may look vintage because of the small, red flowers, but i think it's pretty and it'll rock with a denim jacket. oh, and i stole that picture from the website itself cos i'm too lazy to take a picture with it.
that aside, i have a new military-style jacket which i'm still deciding if i want to return, a new zip-up skirt and a purplish-pink tank top. oh, and on top of all these, i bought dolly wink's no.3 fake eyelashes thanks to sandra's guidance :) i'll take a picture once they arrive, and after i've figured out how to put them on properly. meanwhile, i will once again, stop shopping and save up.
