hello ween!$BlogItemTitle$> @ Friday, October 30, 2009
alright, today's not the real halloween (it's tomorrow), but my colleagues and i all decided to dress up to work today. now, i can't upload their pictures here cos that'll be against company policy, but i'll happily upload my own individual pictures. so, as i said, this halloween i'm lili from tekken! okay, well now that i look at it, it doesn't really resemble the real costume (cos i don't wanna waste my money to get a real nice costume). but it can pass as a costume. tomorrow, i'll go full on with the makeup too. i wanna make black tears below my eyes using my eyeliner. hehe!
oh, and david & i had a really nice dinner tonight at olive garden. it's been a while since we had our own time together cos we usually hang out with our friends on friday nights, so it's kinda good to have some time to ourselves. we also dropped by nordstrom at alderwood mall, where i finally got my knee-length boots! decided to go with grey instead of black, cos well... the grey looks nicer overall. and the following are picture updates! yay! (:

off to work! "how long can you stand my attacks?"

at work... "*laughs* you surely don't think you can beat me?"

that's my manager at the back... heheh.

strawberry bellini at olive garden. this drink's so light it's almost like blended strawberry slush. hardly can taste the alcohol, and probably they only put a few drops of vodka in it. -.-" but it tasted great overall.

zuppa toscana soup. loved this one. unlike david's soup, mine is not as creamy, but equally rich in flavor. the toscana sausage in there helps with the taste too.

david's chicken & gnocchi soup. it's very creamy, so i didn't really like it. but it became a good dip for the bread that we got. hehe.

my steak grogonzala-alfredo. loved the steak cos it was really moist, cooked perfectly and really easy to bite into, but pasta was so-so.

david's pork milanese. the breaded pork chop was really dry, and his pasta was... okay. my dish was better in my opinion. hehe.

read-y for the holidays!$BlogItemTitle$> @ Wednesday, October 28, 2009
for once in probably my entire life, i've got myself a costume for halloween! actually, i got this costume on saturday when i went shopping at H&M, but totally forgot to blog about it until today. at first i thought i'd like to be something silly like, a 'deviled' egg or something, but costumes are well, expensive as we all know it. and apparently, H&M was selling some gothic clothes that i'd probably never wear in my entire life other than halloween. and the great part about H&M is the 30-day refund policy that they have, so once halloween is over, i'm so returning these clothes! so i decided to buy a white, long-sleeved ruffled shirt that has a black ribbon around my neck, and a really short ruffled skirt that resembles that of lili rochefort from tekken. ^^;; now, trust me, this will be the ONLY time i'm dressing up as that!
also, i'm uber excited that my cousin, allen, and his girlfriend will be flying over for thanksgiving! once he gives me his final confirmation, i'll start planning out on where i can take them to and so forth.
and finally, i also forgot to mention that i've got my christmas holiday itenaries all lined up! on the 19th, after work, david & i'll fly over to LA. and on monday, which is the 21st, my cousin, his girlfriend, david & i will drive all the way to las vegas for a 2-night stay. back to LA on the 23rd, staying there til the 25th and flying back at night to seattle!
i'm so gonna rock this year's holiday season!!! (unlike last year, or last last year.) yay!! can't wait!!
P.S. now that the weather's gone cold, i think i'm ready for my boots ♥

laundry horror-$BlogItemTitle$> @ Monday, October 26, 2009
please, let this blog be a reminder to never wash my whites with my new colored cardigans, especially those that are purple in color. not only did that precious cardigan stain my new forever 21 shirt in like, patches that almost look like blotches on your skin *eww*, it also did the same to my NEW banana republic shirt that i love, love so much! i had to run to the nearest QFC at 2.30am in the morning, and stupid me bought the wrong product home oxi-clean's stain remover when i was supposed to get the color remover..., so aarghhh.... red spots around my two fave shirts. *sighs*
anyway, i've got my new fall shopping list. time to roll out the moolah earned!

the badly needed updates-$BlogItemTitle$> @
work, work, work! okay, i've not been uber busy, more of i kinda forgot about this blog altogether ever since i started working. and there are just so, so many things i could have possibly blogged about that, unfortunately due to the time lag, i've completely forgotten. but, well they say pictures speak a thousand words, and here are some pictures for updates! (:

what i wore on my first day of work! banana republic's tailor shirt & bcbg's high waist skirt (:

another picture of that...

so, since we're all grads now and are working/looking for jobs, a.k.a. busy on the weekdays, my friend iva thought it'll be cool if we can all have brunches every saturday morning where we can meet up and catch up with one another. you know, something like sex & the city. heheh. and, this was what i had at our first brunch meeting at tilth's restaurant. pasta olio! deliciousss.

a fake US$1,000,000 bill i found at the back of my office ;)

eggs benedict from tom douglas' dahlia lounge. now, it looks fancy and all, but the taste was... okay. now, don't get me wrong. it was really good when i had my first bite, but toward the end it was... pretty dull and boring. i expected eggs benedict to be more hearty and homey. unlike this.

bank-ing!$BlogItemTitle$> @ Friday, October 9, 2009
two and a half weeks into my employment, and i am SO exhausted. okay, well, last week was fine. i only did some job shadowing for 4 hours a day, so it wasn't too bad. the only reason i didn't blog last week was, well, i was lazy. this week's hella crazy. a whole week of online classes, all the way from 9.45am to 6.15pm. ON THE PHONE. well, not exactly just a conference call, but more of an internet + conference call type of virtual classroom covering the teller training basics. so glad that's over now. that was close to hell-ish. all alone in the back of the bank, with just a computer to accompany me, and that air conditioner vent exactly below my desk that turns on every 3pm, shooting cold air right up my feet. but now that's over, i get my very own cashbox and teller line! can't wait to start monday :D
